Client Testimonials

Daniel is the ultimate musical professional and provided a very wonderful performance at my wedding. Not only did he agree to move locations from our church to the reception site, but also learned new music in top speed time and did a wonderful job performing it. His diligence in performing and making sure everything was perfect for the wedding ceremony and reception helped create the magical day I always wanted. His guitar skills create beautiful and resounding music!”

“In July, our company hosted a roof top cocktail party at the Affinity Hotel in Chicago for
our vendors and customers. Naturally, we wanted to provide a memorable evening for
all attendees, and Daniel Larson did not disappoint us. The weather was perfect, the
view of the city was spectacular, and Daniel’s classical guitar resonated at the perfect
noise level to allow our guests to talk and still enjoy his music. Compliments from our
guests were tremendous! He has quite a fantastic future in the music industry!”

“Daniel Larson was a class act. As a professional guitarist myself, I was a little worried as to what to expect and just hoped for the best. Well, all I can say is wow. He showed up early and even offered to help set up other aspects of the wedding. His playing was beautiful. I couldn’t have done better myself and he played entirely from memory! Not one mistake! I would definitely hire Daniel again, though hopefully not for a second wedding. Perhaps for some other formal occasion like a dinner or cocktail party. I highly recommend Daniel Larson for any such event. Thanks Dan, for taking one of the most important days of my life to the next level.”

Student Testimonials

“I have been taking classical-guitar lesson with Dan Larson since early February, 2008. As I had played the guitar on and off before, mostly on my own, there was much to learn and, also, to unlearn in my playing. Under Dan’s guidance, my technique has much improved and my confidence as player has increased. Dan is an excellent teacher, patient, methodical, and systematic, fully capable of both showing and explaining the many difficulties I have encountered so far.” — Omer Hadžiselimoviæ

“I bought my guitar, a Taylor Big Baby LH, in February 08′ and set out to find instruction. This is the 3rd time in my life (I’m 39) I’ve tried to learn guitar and it is the last time I’ll “try”, this time it will be done. Not only did I find the right guitar for me because I’m left handed and the Taylor sound so sweet, but I also found an amazing instructor in Dan Larson. The most important elements of instructing are patience, skills and the intelligence to speak at the level of the listener. This type of instruction is also a very personal relationship because of the 1 on 1 interaction usually in very close quarters. I have had substitute teacher a couple of times and it was a waste of my time. When an instructor walks in and can only speak to me in advance music theory, it does not do me any good, they’re just stoking their ego at my expense. Dan has the patience of a saint with me, he can talk to me at my level of understanding. That is the only effective way to teach and Dan is a natural. Dan is very easy going and very knowledgeable in his trade and can get along with anyone, and that’s why I keep going back. Even when I had a 4-6 week lay-off for surgery, I went right back to Dan when I healed instead of looking for a better “deal” at a different shop. When you find someone with the traits and skills of Dan you don’t give it up. I will stay with Dan as my instructor and will continue to be loyal to my Maestro.” — Jeff Pitt

“I started playing guitar less than a year ago and it was a struggle. What can I say, it’s been almost 10 months and I am still playing guitar. Dan taught me a lot and encouraged me to keep playing. I will keep taking guitar lessons with Dan until I feel confident I can do the rest on my own. Also, his guitar skills are pretty amazing!” — Emiliusz
